Overview

The Business Development Manager is a dynamic sales role focused on generating and converting leads into long-term XPS Solutions clients. This position requires a proactive, results-driven approach to outbound and inbound sales, leveraging cold and warm prospecting, networking, and strategic follow-ups to drive revenue growth. This role is located in our Richardson, TX office.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Sales Execution
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through outbound calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and industry networking.
  • Proactively manage and convert leads from XPS marketing campaigns, trade shows, digital sources, and industry events.
  • Implement strategic sales initiatives, including outbound prospecting, follow-ups, demos, and closing deals to meet or exceed sales objectives.
  • Track and manage leads using CRM tools like ActiveCampaign to optimize the sales cycle and conversion rates.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies targeting key decision-makers, including private equity firms and self-storage management companies.


Industry Engagement & Strategic Partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong industry relationships with key stakeholders, business leaders, and trade professionals.
  • Attend and actively participate in industry events, professional meetings, and networking opportunities to showcase XPS Solutions' expertise.
  • Engage in public speaking, webinars, and training sessions to establish thought leadership and expand brand awareness.


Market Research & Business Strategy
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new customer needs, and competitive opportunities.


  • Develop a growth strategy focused on financial performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Track and report prospecting and sales performance metrics.


Client Relationship Management
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring continued business growth.
  • Arrange business meetings with potential clients, present tailored solutions, and negotiate contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and company guidelines when preparing sales agreements.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a similar area.
  • 5+ years of proven sales experience in a similar Business Development role.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Technical skills required to create proposals and find solutions to meet client requirements, such as using software programs and machines.
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities.
  • Be proactive organized, and handle work in stressful and uncertain environments.
  • Travel up to 70% seasonally.
