Commercial Superintendent

Position Overview:

The Commercial Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a commercial construction project and ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget. This position requires a combination of strong construction knowledge, leadership, and organizational skills to manage multiple contractors, subcontractors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule to ensure that projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to ensure completion of projects according to deadlines
• Lead and direct the work of contractors, subcontractors, and other staff
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety procedures
• Oversee the quality of work being performed to ensure it meets the highest standards
• Maintain accurate records of project progress and costs
• Manage budgets and other financial aspects of the project
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders throughout the project
• Assess project risks and take steps to mitigate them

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field
• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with an emphasis on Multi-Family construction
• Prior experience as a Commercial Superintendent
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Solid understanding of project management principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of relevant laws, codes, and regulations
• Computer literacy with a strong knowledge of MS Office
