About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Learning Specialist todesign, deliver, and promote engaging learning experiences. This role requiresexpertise in facilitating scalable virtual instructor-led training (VILT)sessions and in-person leadership programs (ILT), conducting targeted 1-on-1coaching, and driving digital adoption. The Learning Specialist will also playa key role in marketing learning programs to enhance awareness andparticipation across the organization. The LearningSpecialist reports to the Senior Learning Business Partner - NorthAmerica. And will work collaboratively to adapt and deliver blendedsolutions that address business needs

This is a hybrid position.Candidates located in Prince George, Vancouver or Kelowna willbe given preference. Travel to our sites will be approximately 40% ofthe time.

Your mainresponsibilities will include:
  • Work collaboratively with the PeopleDevelopment COE and HR Business Partners to adapt and deliverblended solutions that address business needs
    Coordinate with internal communications and work withinavailable platforms to promote learning programs and resources
  • Adapt training delivery methods to meet learner needs, ensuring high engagement and retention
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-class and virtualdevelopment programmes successfully
  • Conduct 1-on-1 follow-up sessions to reinforce learning, address individual challenges, and support skill development virtually or on-site
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive awareness and participation in learning programs
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to advocate for learning initiatives and encourage digital adoption
  • Identify barriers to digital adoption and develop strategies to address them
  • Collect feedback from learners to measure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Manage workload and tasks to ensure successful deliveryof projects
  • Support operations leaders and managers bypracticing coaching conversations on-site
  • Take responsibility for continuous improvement, ensuringthe quality of all materials produced are to the required standard, reviewedand updated
  • Run and facilitate regular learning events - Inductions;Insights workshops and front-line management programmes using a variety ofmedia
  • Update and maintain learning records
  • Consult with Human Resource Business Partners, business leaders and other key stakeholders to design, develop anddeliver blended solutions based on business need to ensure learningrequirements are tailored and delivered to the necessary timescales

Who we're lookingfor:
You possess thefollowing Knowledge, skills and experience:

Essential
  • Experienced in adapting, developing, facilitating andevaluating high quality, interactive blended learning solutions
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the principles ofinstructional design
  • Experience creating content and resource for use onmultiple devices
  • Must be capable of working in multi-functionalteams representing People Development to the business
  • Experienced in working with subject matter experts froma broad range of subject areas to write and develop content
  • Experienced in partnering with business units torecommend and promote a broad range of learning programs
  • Confident in coaching leaders in a non-digitalenvironment to use digital platforms
  • Proficient in working with Learning Management Systems
  • Efficient working within Sharepoint
  • Efficient Working with Microsoft Office tools
  • Passionate about our mission of enabling a zero carbon,low-cost energy future.

Desirable
  • Knowledgeable in performance management frameworks
  • Experience coaching leaders through behavioral change
  • Experience facilitating Insight personality assessmenttraining
  • Experience supporting and instructing colleagues at alllevels
  • Graphic design / content experience
