Job Description
Job Title: Physical Therapist
Job Specialty: Rehabilitation Therapy
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days, 8 hours a day/5 days a week
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience
License: Must hold active Physical Therapist license or plan to test in the near future in the state in which you intend to work
Certifications: Continuing Education courses preferred

Job Description:
- Implement patient rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, function, and strength.
- Maintain and update physical therapy skills and certifications.
- Evaluate and treat patients as part of physical therapy and rehabilitation programs.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for patient evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries.
- Guide and monitor patient care throughout treatment, ensuring effective follow-up.
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient chart documentation, including prescriptions, test results, and authorizations.
- Ensure patient comfort and address any questions or concerns they may have.
- Collaborate closely with front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-ups.
- Demonstrate computer proficiency, including typing, word processing, internet, and EMR skills.
- Make independent decisions regarding patient care as necessary.
- Participate in the business marketing and referral process when needed.
- Comply with HIPAA policy and procedure standards.
- Be familiar with billing policy and procedures including Medicare, workers' compensation, private pay, auto, liens, and cash payments.
- Proficiency in DX and ICD-10 coding for service billing.
- Maintain physical mobility, including a combination of sitting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with patient mobility and safety.
- Ensure patient privacy in accordance with company policies, and report any concerns regarding privacy practices to the designated Privacy Officer.
- Participate in company privacy training and communicate privacy policy information as needed.
- Comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
This position supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides within an outpatient/rehabilitation setting. Ensure the protection of patient information, participate in privacy training, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
