The Opportunity
As Principal Product Manager, you will own the strategy, development, and success of Fishbowl's on-premise software offerings and payment platforms, ensuring alignment with broader business goals. Your expertise will bridge legacy software solutions with modern customer needs, focusing on seamless integration of payment processing technologies.
You will collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to drive innovation and deliver high-quality solutions to market. Responsibilities
Strategic Product Leadership
- Develop and implement a product roadmap that balances innovation, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
- Lead the strategy for on-premise software and payment platforms, ensuring alignment with the company's overarching goals.
- Identify market trends, customer pain points, and competitive opportunities to shape product direction.
Customer-Centric Execution
- Act as the voice of the customer, leveraging direct engagement and data analysis to inform product decisions.
- Partner with customer success and sales teams to gather insights and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.
- Ensure product features are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with key personas across industries.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering teams to prioritize and deliver impactful features using agile methodologies.
- Collaborate with finance and product marketing to refine pricing strategies for on-premise and payment platform products.
- Partner with marketing and sales to execute go-to-market strategies and launch plans.
Performance Management
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success, including customer retention, churn, and LTV.
- Measure and optimize the integration of payment platforms into existing software solutions.
- Regularly review and refine product metrics to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
Experience
- 8+ years of product management experience with a strong focus on on-premise software and payment platforms.
- Proven success in leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex software solutions.
- Hands-on experience in SaaS/cloud and desktop-installed software environments.
- Background in inventory, warehousing, or manufacturing software is highly preferred.
Skills
- Proven ability to conduct scrappy user research, analyze customer feedback, and translate insights into actionable product requirements.
- Strong strategic thinking and practitioner of design thinking, with a demonstrated ability to translate insights into actionable roadmaps.
- Deep technical fluency, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams on technical debt and feasibility considerations.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, inspiring internal teams and external stakeholders alike.
- Expertise in payment processing technologies and their integration into software ecosystems.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
