About this job:

Responsible for managing and maintaining the technical aspect of software purchases and usage across the District. Serves as a collaborative partner to finance, legal, educational technology, and the central and school-based staff for the technical usage of software. Addresses software licensing usage concerns with 3rd party software vendors. Ensures application accessibility standards for applications used by District community, students, and staff.

What You'll Do:

  • Manages software approval process incident flow between the Ed Tech, Device Management, Information Security, and Legal teams.
  • Communicates and collaborates with process owners and customers.
  • Enforces District and department policies, standards, and guidelines related to software use and purchasing.
  • Initiate DPA (Data Protection Addendums) with 3rd party software companies and the Department of Technology Services team for District operational software.
  • Administers software licenses for the district by managing user access, running usage reports, determining need for central purchases of requested software and collaborating with the purchasing team on software renewals.
  • Evaluates software requests against internal criteria as well as for SOC accessibility standards, FERPA, HIPAA and COPPA compliance.
  • Makes determinations as to whether the software meets standards and is acceptable for use.
  • Maintain an inventory of approved software solutions and collaborate with end-users to offer alternatives for any denied software requests that align with departments application needs.
  • Delivers customer/end-user, hands on, email, chat, video conference, and telephone support internally in an efficient and timely manner.

What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in technology troubleshooting, isolating, and diagnosing problems.
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
