Job Title: Behavioral Health Therapist

Shift: Monday-Friday, 0800-1630
Guaranteed Hours: 32 guaranteed, up to 40
Experience: Hospital Therapist experience preferred; Master's in social work or counseling
License: Professional licensure required in LAC, LMSW, LAMFT, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
Certifications: Active professional certification in LAC, LMSW, LAMFT, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
Must-Have:
- Experience in a clinical setting
- Ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team
Job Description:
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling therapies to patients suffering from psychiatric and substance abuse disorders, including group, individual, and family therapies.
- Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation in compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
- Actively communicate with clients, families, and external referral sources.
- Display involvement in treatment planning, working with patients to achieve their goals and documenting progress accurately.
- Revise treatment plans proactively to create new goals for patients when appropriate.
- Collaborate consistently with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff members.
- Communicate effectively with the utilization review department regarding length of stay and treatment of patients.
- Develop thorough discharge plans with clients, ensuring necessary paperwork is completed for aftercare needs and continuity of care.
