Job Title: Multimodality Technologist
Job Specialty: Imaging
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-Hour Days
Guaranteed Hours: 24 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years preferred
License: State X-ray license
Certifications: Registered Computed Tomography Technologist (ARRT), CPR certification, ACLS
Must-Have: Post Primary Certification in CT through ARRT preferred
Job Description:
- Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections.
- Use aseptic injection techniques.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Communicate effectively with customers and/or radiologists.
- Train new technologists and/or personnel.
- Troubleshoot the scanner, coach, and all peripheral equipment, including monitors and PACS.
- Perform mid-day moves as required.
- Maintain strong customer service skills.
- Utilize organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Apply basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
- Adhere to COVID-19 vaccination requirements as a condition of employment.
- Complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen successfully.
Physical Requirements:
- May be exposed to outside weather conditions during patient transport if working in a mobile unit.
- Possible exposure to blood/body fluids and infectious diseases.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive movements of hands, arms, and legs.
- Ability to see, speak, and hear to communicate with patients effectively.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
- Ability to climb and balance.
- Capability to carry and lift, including moving non-ambulatory patients for transfer or exam.
Additional Information:
- Work schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
- While the primary role is CT, there is an expectation to float to X-ray and Dexa as necessary.
- Travel may be required to other sites, depending on patient volume and site needs.
- Equipment used: GE Lightspeed VCT 16-Slice for CT, Summit Amrad LX for X-ray, and Hologic Discovery for Dexa.
