Description:

We are seeking a technical program manager to plan, interact, lead, and execute projects in Vehicle Manufacturing. This role will entail working in a fast-paced aggressive operations environment and under intense timing constraints. The successful candidate for this position should be meticulous, detail-oriented, highly motivated, and an organized individual who takes pride in their analytical and problem-solving abilities. The candidate should have well rounded manufacturing engineering knowledge, technical program experience, and the ability to drive decisions with senior leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Create schedules to understand workstream dependencies and sequencing
  • Track key milestones and decision points, and ensure they are communicated to the team
  • Track and prioritize program risks in an organized and methodical way (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
  • Coordinate parallel path efforts as contingency planning for high-risk designs
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across engineering, operations, validation/testing, sales, and external suppliers to meet very aggressive cost, schedule, and quality goals
  • Present project status to the executive team. Track and report on weekly progress towards development milestones
  • Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies, and program issues quickly and efficiently
  • Collaborate with finance to manage the tracking and reporting of project budgets
  • Drive on-going process improvements (new processes or procedures) to improve execution and efficiency of cross-functional teams
  • Ensure each program follows the organization's procedures, but also exercise judgment and critical thinking when established procedures do not apply


Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
  • An experienced project manager with a proven track record of managing multiple projects from concept stages to completion within a manufacturing environment
  • Willingness and dedication to working in a fast-paced results-oriented environment focused on fundamental engineering excellence
  • Must be well-versed with using Microsoft projects, primavera, or a similar project management software
