Schedule

• Full-time, benefited position (1,380 hours/230 days per year)
• Monday - Friday with students on campus four days per week.
• Some evening and Saturday hours are required.
• Anticipated start date: As soon as possible.

Description

Coordination of program implementation, operations and staffing is performed by the Program Coordinator in collaboration with the Program Administrator. Instructional programming consists of both in person and online classes scheduled mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Current areas of responsibilities and duties include...

• Ongoing program evaluation and improvement.
• Organization and implementation of grant-based projects and programs.
• Development and implementation of new classes and programs.
• Collection and analysis of program data, preparation of reports, and correspondence.
• Establishment and maintenance of contacts and communication with individuals and agencies integral to program operations.
• Assist with recruitment, selection, orientation, and placement of certificated and classified programming personnel and volunteers.
• Support of instructional and classified staff.
• Ongoing planning and implementation of professional development activities to support program certificated and classified staff.
• Purchase and implementation of all instructional supplies, materials and technology.
• Coordination of the registration of students.
• Preparation of marketing materials for community outreach and events.
• Participation in meetings that collaborate with other site programs.

Qualifications

• Appropriate California teaching credential authorizing work in adult education.
• A minimum of two years adult education training and experience.
• Demonstrates leadership skills and experience.
• Demonstrates knowledge of instructional materials and methodology.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Preferred knowledge of college and career-readiness standards.
• Preferred knowledge of national high school equivalency providers and examination.

Compensation

Compensation starts at MDUSD Adult Education Program Coordinator Step One hourly rate of $43.71. This is an approximate annual salary of $80,426.40. Benefits included.
