General Accountability:
Reporting to the AVP, Strategic Initiatives and Support, Investments, GWAM Canada, the Project Manager is accountable for supporting a digital initiative involving secure authentication at Manulife. The incumbent will work with resources and functions across GWAM Canada Retail to deliver the initiative, which includes project planning and execution, workstream management, reporting, and other miscellaneous activities. Candidate should have experience managing digital projects and working with marketing or product management teams.
Responsibilities:
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, create and execute plan to complete project in given timeframe.
Manage progress for multiple streams of work and hold workstream leads accountable to project plan and timelines.
Support workstream leads, with planning, reporting, and project communications to internal stakeholders.
Focus on service and quality excellence with an eye to continuous improvement.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education:
Bachelor's degree in financial or business-related field, or equivalent preferred.
A minimum of 5 + year's work experience in the project management.
The candidate should be self-confident, energetic, have an inquisitive mind.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, an ability to manage multiple assignments with competing priorities, excellent initiative and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Location is work from home or hybrid per the candidate's preference.
Problems/Challenges:
1. Building and maintaining relationship with internal and external team members in multiple locations.
2. Ability to work effectively with the various management team and groups.
3. Meet deadlines and provide quality assignments independently.
