We are looking for a Digital Delivery Technical Lead to support the implementation of digital delivery initiatives for our DOT clients. This role requires deep technical expertise in tools and workflows such as CADD, BIM, GIS, Digital Twin, and data management platforms. As a key collaborator, the Digital Delivery Technical Lead will work closely with the Digital Delivery Project Manager to ensure the seamless execution of innovative solutions.

The Digital Delivery Technical Lead will provide the technical knowledge and hands-on support necessary to implement and optimize digital delivery systems for DOT clients. This role focuses on analyzing workflows, configuring tools, and ensuring systems are implemented to align with project goals and AEC industry standards.

What are the core responsibilities for the role?
  • Technical Implementation:
    • Act as a subject matter expert in the deployment and configuration of digital delivery tools such as CADD, BIM, GIS, SharePoint, and data integration platforms
    • Design and implement workflows and schemas to extract, transform, and load data between CAD and GIS formats
    • Develop and customize workflows to meet client-specific requirements
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during system implementation and operation
  • Workflow Analysis:
    • Evaluate current client workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
    • Recommend and implement solutions to streamline design, construction, and asset management processes
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the Digital Delivery Project Manager, design teams, GIS teams, and CAD teams to align technical solutions with project objectives
    • Collaborate with client teams, software vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and adoption of new technologies
  • Training and Documentation:
    • Develop technical training materials and user guides to support system onboarding
    • Lead workshops and one-on-one training sessions for client teams
  • Innovation and Standards:
    • Stay informed on the latest technologies and trends in digital delivery, including BIM standards, GIS advancements, and data management best practices
    • Ensure all solutions adhere to industry standards and client requirements
  • Support:
    • Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to clients during and after implementation
    • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement


Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, GIS, or a related field
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in digital delivery implementation, transportation engineering, or related fields
    • Hands-on experience with platforms these platforms: ArcGIS, Autodesk (Civil 3D, Revit), Bentley (ORD, ProjectWise, Synchro), SharePoint, or other BIM and GIS tools
    • Experience working with DOTs or public infrastructure projects is preferred
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in customizing and implementing digital delivery platforms
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
    • Ability to manage multiple technical tasks and priorities effectively
