This position is part of our T+1 Accelerated Settlement Initiative which touches many of our investment processes and supporting systems from the Front Office, the Middle Office and Back Office Operations. You will be working within a team of business experts, application experts, project managers, and testers co-located across North America and Asia.
Manulife Investment Management T+1 Business Analyst/:
As a skilled BA resource on the T+1 Accelerated Settlement Program, you will join a team focused on the implementation of a new industry wide initiative which changes the settlement process. We are looking for a candidate with strong business analysis capabilities that can operate in a large scale, cross functional project to ensure successful delivery of business initiatives in agreed time, cost and quality standard. The ideal candidate must have a working knowledge of the financial services industry and centrally cleared/settled asset classes such as equities, bonds, ETFs and Mutual Funds. Experience mapping business process flows is required.
The ideal candidate can drive discussions on new or changing requirements, update documentation, participate in process reviews, and assist with integrated testing for this initiative..
Knowledge/Skills:
Experience working in a business analysis role in Capital Markets or Wealth Management.
Well organized and attentive to details.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills and disciplined with project scheduling.
Strong ability to understand details but also be able to see the end-to-end and how the details fit together is key.
Self-initiated and have a strong drive to learn, responsible and willing to expose to new technology.
Strong PC skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
Knowledge of Trading, Middle Office Operations, Swift Messaging Protocol, FundServ ESG and Investment record keeping for the securities industry a strong asset.
Quick learner and solutions oriented, ability to escalate issues to management.
Must be a team player, professional, and adaptable to changing requirements.
Experience:
Prior experience in the Business Analysis function at a buy-side firm, wealth manager, broker dealer or custodian bank.
5 + years of Financial Services experience.
5 + years of BA/QA experience.
