In your first 3 months you will
- Ramp up, learning the ins and outs of our unique sales process, including discovery, establishing budget, presentations/demos, internal collaboration, closing, and customer success. There is a very clear job description for this role.
- Develop internal relationships with people across Orangutech (the "O-Folk"), understanding key collaboration points and how to be a tremendous teammate.
- Shadow other (Sr.) Account Executives. Ask a ton of question!
- Learn everything there is to know about our software and consulting solutions, the RFP process, and managing your funnel in Microsoft Dynamics (our CRM).
- Understand that our strengths are not in "pitching". Rather, it is about listening and synthesizing, and falling in love with the problem, all in the service of bringing solutions to our clients as their trusted advisors. Critical thinking is what makes us successful.
- Be very comfortable speaking to each of our solutions, both consulting and software
- Speak up with your ideas for how we can improve our Sales operations. We will listen!
- Eat lunch with the team regularly! We are all in the office on Thursdays. Many of us come in 2-3 days per week.
- Attend at least one awesome social event. Add to our award-winning culture.
In your first year you will:
- Build and maintain a diverse pipeline of business through RFP's/outreach, prospecting, networking, and other creative approaches.
- You will also be given significant warm accounts with established vehicles and Orangutech presence.
- Grow your sales funnel to a level which can meet and or exceed your quota for the year.
- Help clients navigate the complex procurement process. You are the quarterback. You are proactive. You tell them what actions are required.
- Close a few smaller deals to build confidence. Share stories with the team.
- Help support and mentor new and existing AEs in the organization.
- Find new and exciting ways to support the organization with your experience.
This will be a great fit if:
- Must Have: 5+ years selling consulting, software, or cloud services into the Federal Government.
- Experienced with RFPs, outreach, government vehicles, and prospecting new business.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure technology sales.
- Nice-to-have: Complex sales or experience as an Enterprise Account Executive.
- Extremely driven, truly enjoy and prefer face-to-face meetings and picking up the phone, as opposed to sending an email.
- Resourceful, relentless, and have always been good at "finding a way".
- Demonstrated excellence at building relationships and pipeline.
- Conscientious commitment to maintaining an updated CRM.
- Bilingualism is a big asset, though not mandatory.
