Engineering Director - Completion Tools

Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and balance team workload while forecasting and optimizing personnel levels through recruitment and training.
• Maintain high engineering standards, ensuring efficient, cost-effective designs that prioritize reuse of existing components.
• Review and approve engineering documents per company policies, including drawings, manuals, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Lead design reviews, implement Engineering Change procedures, and ensure minimal business disruption.
• Develop and manage QMS elements relevant to Engineering.
• Assist in budget preparation, monitor costs, and ensure designs meet specifications within time and budget constraints.
• Provide performance, forecasting, and resource reports to management as required.
• Facilitate collaboration between Engineering and other departments (operations, sales, quality, HSE, etc.).
• Support business units locally and globally, assisting with sales and marketing to align product offerings with company strategy.
• Represent Engineering in client meetings, ensuring customer satisfaction and contract compliance.
• Stay informed on industry advancements to integrate innovative concepts into the business.
• Uphold professionalism and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Travel globally as needed for business and project requirements approximately 40%.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 15+ years experience in Completions Tools or a related discipline
• Working knowledge of manufacturing and wellsite field operations
• Experience managing global teams of engineers
• Established oilfield industry relationships
• Thorough understanding of engineering documents, drawings, and analysis techniques
• Thorough knowledge of applicable ISO and API standards
• Working knowledge of engineering software tools
• Good computer literacy, including good command of Microsoft Office suite
