Job Description
RHSC in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiology APP team and make a difference for our patients and our community.
The Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing both inpatient and outpatient services. In the inpatient setting, the APP works as a team with the attending cardiologist to perform and staff initial consults, subsequent follow up visits and to coordinate patient care. In the outpatient setting, the APP will see patients independently in the cardiology clinic. Outreach clinic may also be expected. Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 hr shifts or 10hr shifts for total of 40 hr per week. Occasional weekends.

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- If a Physician Assistant:
- Current registration to practice as a Physician Assistant in Minnesota plus current national certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant & Approved by Minnesota Board of Medical Practice for prescription writing privileges (verified during credentialing process)
- If a Nurse Practitioner:
- Currently licensed as a APRN by the Minnesota Board of Nursing
- Currently licensed as a RN by the Minnesota Board of Nursing
- AANP certification
- Current BLS, ACLS, and DEA certification (verified during credentialing process)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as an independently practicing App
- 1-2 years previous Cardiology experience
