Required Qualifications

Ph.D. degree from an accredited college or university in biomedical sciences, microbiology, virology, or a related discipline, M.D./M.B.B.S., D.D.S./D.M.D./B.D.S. from an accredited college or university, or a combination of these .

As part of the Transdisciplinary Research cluster in Inflammaging and Brain Aging (TRIBA) initiative, the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position (tenure-track) at the level of assistant professor, associate professor or professor, to be based in the Department of Oral Biology & Diagnostic Sciences. Primary teaching responsibilities will lie in the area of virology or microbiology. Responsibilities of the position will include scholarship, teaching at pre-doctoral (dental) and graduate levels, and service. Significant postdoctoral experience, a strong record of research accomplishment, and the ability to develop a vigorous, extramurally-funded, independent research program are expected. Research focus in virology is preferred, but applications from candidates working in other areas of molecular and cellular oral biology are welcome. Starting salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
