About the Role
The SaFE Reform Program Manager will provide project and program management for the SaFE Reform Initiative with guidance from the SaFE Program Lead and Metro Leadership Team Project Sponsors. Responsibilities for this role will include leading and coordinating teams to plan, develop and analyze options and recommendations, create reports, and launch the SaFE Reform Initiative at Metro. This role works under the guidance of the SaFE Program Lead.

Recruitment Details
This recruitment will be used to fill one TLT/SDA position. In addition, this selection process may be used to generate an eligibility pool for future TLT/SDA vacancies that may occur in this classification within the SaFE Reform workgroup. If an eligibility pool is created, it will be retained for 12 months from the closing date of the posting and may be used at the discretion of the hiring authority. The duration of this position is anticipated to last through December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Work Location/Teleworking Requirements:
The work associated with this position will be hybrid, performed through a combination of teleworking and onsite work/meetings, as needed. The office location is at King Street Center (201 S. Jackson St., Seattle, WA). Employees must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance of their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. Employees must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled workhours. Employees will be provided with a County-issued laptop and will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities.
Work Schedule
The standard work week is 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday; however, alternative work schedules will be considered. Occasional work may be required during evenings and weekends. This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is therefore ineligible for overtime pay, if scheduled.

- Support and oversee operations for the Ambassador and Behavioral Health Support programs in partnership with Metro divisions and County departments;
- Develop in collaboration standard operating procedures for all projects and pilots with contributions from subject matter experts, internal and external stakeholders, and SaFE Team;
- Collaboratively work with enterprise-wide leadership to manage change and to accomplish strategic work plans and deliverables within established timeframes to support SaFE Reform's Implementation Plan;
- Prepare operational reports, graphs, and other documents summarizing findings and recommendations; present to stakeholders/sponsors;
- Collaborate with Metro's Community Engagement team on the SaFE Equity Workgroup (community-based), Youth Cohort, Safety Emphasis, and ad hoc tasks to engage and center historically marginalized voices;
- Elevate issues to the SaFE Program Lead and Sponsors in a timely manner to address challenges early on;
- Track and monitor programs and projects with numerical data to show performance, operations, and opportunities;
- Support SaFE Reform programs and projects as needed;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
