This full-time permanent position will be headquartered at and required to work from the Madison Hill Farms State Office Building at 4822 Madison Yards Way Madison, WI at least 2 days per week . All employees working a hybrid work schedule are still expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. This topic will be discussed more at the time of the interview. Our building is also conveniently located close to the restaurants, shopping, and entertainment of the Hilldale Mall .

Position Summary
This position is responsible for the management and supervision of information technology (IT) professionals providing IT support and oversees operation of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) IT Service Desk. Specifically, this position directs IT service and support operations throughout the Madison area and works closely with the Regional IT Support Supervisor to support WisDOT staff working in regional sites across the state. In addition, this position oversees WisDOT Call Center system administration, and works with project teams to effectively manage staff resources, negotiate project timelines, and address project concerns with the IT Service Management (ITSM) Section Chief, project leaders, other IT managers, and business area customers to deliver effective and efficient services and support.
This position oversees teams that support a variety of IT service and support activities such as: installing and maintaining desktop and mobile hardware and software; supporting staff usage of desktop and mobile IT equipment, operating systems, and office productivity software and applications; facilitating staff use of IT support services (e.g., IT Service Portal); training and consulting about IT services and support processes; and creating and maintaining policies, standards, and procedures related to IT service management and support. This position is an active member of the Bureau of Information Technology Services (BITS) management team and participates in the development, advocacy, and realization of bureau goals. This position partners with other BITS teams and the Department of Administration - Division of Enterprise Technology (DOA-DET) to support WisDOT business needs and is commitment to continuous process improvement and staff development.
Salary Information
This position is in schedule-range (70-02) with an annual salary of $110,240 - $116,480 (or $53 - $56 per hour), plus excellent benefits . A 2-year career executive trial period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
