Major/Essential Functions

  • Provides clinical services and teaching of Musculoskeletal radiology
  • Interprets x-rays in all modalities of Musculoskeletal radiology
  • Mentors and instructs residents, fellows, and medical students in research projects as requested or assigned by the department chair
  • Lectures and holds conferences, and participate in related meetings and school functions
  • Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental polices and procedures
  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibilities
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
  • Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
  • Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
  • Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of Texas Tech Health El Paso


Preferred Qualifications

  • Board certified by the American Board of Radiology
  • Emerging or establishing regional or national reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher


Pay Statement

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.

Required Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O. Degree
  • Texas Medical License, or eligible for medical license in the State of Texas
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited radiology residency program
  • Successful completion of fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology
  • Competent in all imaging modalities
