Summary:
The System Director of Nursing Operations is a strategic leader responsible for providing system-wide direction, coordination, and evaluation of nursing operations across multiple facilities. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while driving operational efficiency, innovation, and excellence in nursing. The System Director collaborates closely with executive leadership, the Epicenter, clinical staff, and support departments to promote a culture of continuous improvement, patient safety, and staff engagement.
Responsibilities:
Develops and executes nursing operational strategies aligned with the organization's mission, vision and strategic goals
Leads initiatives to improve clinical outcomes, operational performance and patients experience across the system, in collaboration with executive and clinical leaders
Standardizes nursing workflows, policies, and procedures across all facilities to ensure consistency and best practices
Oversees resource allocation, staffing models, and scheduling to meet patient care model demands efficiently and in alignment with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
Foster a culture of safety and high reliability by implementing evidence-based practice
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational efficiencies
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, patients, families, and community partners
Performs other duties as assigned
Other information:
EDUCATION:
Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or related field (Doctorate preferred)
Active RN licensure in the state of practice
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years of nursing leadership experience, including experience in professional practice or shared governance
Demonstrated success in system-level or multi-site professional practice initiatives
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Supervises up to 25 FTE across the Brown Health system.
