The Director of Operations is responsible for the management of multiple specialty departments which include accountability in assisting with physician governance and leadership, business development, strategic alignment, and operations. This role will direct, communicate, and advance Duly-wide initiatives to site managers, physicians, and staff. Further it will acts as a change agent to develop, promote, and implement needed clinical and operational changes in an efficient, timely, and effective manner. Responsibilities also include mentoring practice managers and supervisors, ensuring site managers, staff, and physicians have appropriate information, training, and support to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Develop, promote, and implement Duly-wide initiative and departmental strategies (25%) Develop annual departmental strategic plans that incorporate Duly and departmental goals (15%) Review and ensure compliance of operational indicators and financial reports to ensure progress toward achieving goals (10%) Mentors, coaches, and supports direct reports (30%) Evaluates opportunities for growth and expansion of service line/service area (15%) Member of the Operational Management Team, representing their service line/service area to other Duly management associates (5%)

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $125,790-$188,690, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.

- Location: Downers Grove - Must be willing to travel to different clinic locations, as needed.

Responsibilities
- In conjunction with department chairs and executive leaders, develops, promotes, and implements Duly-wide initiatives and departmental strategies by engaging physicians and managers through involvement in decisions regarding operations, strategy, and membership in the larger Duly organization entity
- Identifies physician and managers' needs for further development and works with appropriate internal and external resources to assist in the development
- Assists the department chair and/or site leader in working with physicians who need additional help and counseling
- Partnering with executive director, department chair(s), and site leaders to develop an annual departmental strategic plan to incorporate Duly and departmental goals at the department level
- Responsible for developing and implementing the work plan associated with the strategy goals
- Reviews, requests, and acquires fiscal, staff, material, equipment, and physical space resources in relation to achieving the goals of practice sites
- Assists and coaches managers in stewardship of resources and work processes; usage of the techniques of process improvement to define and enhance work processes
- Applies quality, efficiency, and access metrics to define and project staffing needs
- Ensures compliance with Duly corporate, clinical, and human resource policies as well as with outside governmental agencies and regulators
- Reviews and acts upon requests for added resources
- Reviews operational indicators and financial reports, on at least a quarterly basis, with each manager and site leader and establishes appropriate action plans
- Guides and assists staff to ensure accomplishment of goals by drawing upon their experience; develops manager competence and ensures that they are receiving appropriate support from others in the organization
- Assists managers in development of process improvement, decision making, and data analysis skills
- Works with each manager to develop annual performance goals that achieve both personal, site, and Duly objectives; reviews progress on these goals with each manager on at minimum, a quarterly basis
- Provides input to the executive and marketing teams ideas for expansion
- In conjunction with marketing department, reaches out to the community to build awareness and exposure
- Actively monitors the patient experience and partners with other Duly departments to improve patient experience
- May participate in Ad Hoc or Standing Committees as well as be a representative of Duly in the community
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- Minimum bachelor level education in Health Administration, Management, Nursing, or other relevant field required.
- Prefer master level education in Health Administration, Management, or Nursing.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of five years in a supervisory/managerial role in a health care setting is required.
- 10+ years' experience in an outpatient physician primary or specialty practice is highly preferred.
