As we scale, we're looking for a Chief of Staff to be the strategic right-hand to our CEO, ensuring smooth operations, prioritization of key initiatives, and effective time management.

Who You Are

An individual who is passionate about cutting-edge technology, space systems, and software development and who wants to manage and prioritize complex business tasks while learning from the CEO of a growing tech startup. As Chief of Staff, you will act as a force multiplier for the CEO, helping to organize, streamline, and execute key priorities. You will manage the CEO's schedule, break down large initiatives into actionable steps, and ensure progress is made on critical business objectives. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming communication to the CEO, helping to filter and prioritize requests. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to execute with precision.

What You'll Do

Executive Support & Time Management

  • Own and manage the CEO's schedule, ensuring optimal time allocation
  • Prioritize tasks and deadlines, ensuring follow-through on key objectives
  • Act as a gatekeeper for incoming communications, filtering requests, directing actions, and responding where appropriate
  • Ensure the CEO is prepared for all meetings, providing necessary briefings and materials

Project & Task Management

  • Break down high-level initiatives into clear, actionable tasks with defined deadlines
  • Track progress on key priorities and hold individuals accountable for deliverables
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve efficiency

Communication & Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders
  • Draft and manage communications, presentations, and reports on behalf of the CEO
  • Support cross-functional alignment across teams by facilitating communication and follow-ups

Strategic Support & Problem-Solving

  • Proactively identify challenges and opportunities, bringing well-thought-out solutions to the CEO
  • Attend high-level meetings, take notes, and drive execution on action items
  • Ensure the CEO remains focused on high-impact work by handling administrative and operational tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, communications, or similar
  • Excellent executive functioning skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, initiate tasks, and follow through to completion
  • Proven ability to manage complex schedules and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing and managing processes from start to finish
  • Ability to take high-level directives and break them into executable steps
  • Highly proactive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Familiarity with productivity tools (Microsoft Suite, Slack, etc.)


Additional desirable experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in an operational, Chief of Staff, or executive support role
  • Experience supporting teams on space programs or working at aerospace and defense companies
