What You'll Do

• Architect and build scalable backend systems that power real-time consumer experiences.
• Design and optimize data models and APIs handling large-scale datasets.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, design, and product teams to launch features that delight users.
• Guide engineering best practices, ensuring a scalable, high-performance architecture.
• Work closely with the CTO (ex-founder & tech leader at Improbable) and an elite founding engineering team.

Who We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience building backend applications in Node.js, Postgres, and AWS.
• Proven experience designing data models, APIs, and scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Startup mindset: Comfortable working in organized chaos, prioritizing impact, and moving fast.
• Highly collaborative: Works well between frontend and backend teams, no egos, no lone wolves.
• On-Site in NYC: We believe in real-time collaboration and building a strong engineering culture together.
