Job Summary:
Apex Waste Solutions is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Sales with a strong focus on sales strategy to join our leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing comprehensive sales strategies that drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and customer retention. You will lead and inspire a high-performing sales team while collaborating closely with other departments to ensure alignment with overall company objectives.

- Sales Strategy Development:
- Lead the creation and execution of sales strategies that align with the company's overall business goals.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to continuously refine and improve sales strategies.
- Develop a data-driven approach to measure the effectiveness of sales initiatives and adjust strategies to optimize performance.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities.
- Set clear objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and sales targets to drive team performance.
- Foster a collaborative, results-oriented sales culture that aligns with company values and goals.
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
- Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports, providing key insights to senior leadership.
- Track and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Present regular updates to the executive team regarding sales performance, pipeline, and strategy outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall marketing campaigns, product offerings, and customer retention efforts.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure sales budgets, pricing strategies, and financial objectives are met.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Drive high-level negotiations and contract discussions with key customers.
- Market Expansion & Innovation:
- Identify and explore new business opportunities, including potential markets, industries, and geographies for expansion.
- Innovate and evolve the sales approach to stay ahead of industry trends and capitalize on
- emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to enhance and develop the brand.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within the disposal industry.
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful sales strategies at an executive level.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data and generate actionable insights to drive decision-making.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of building, leading, and motivating high-performing sales teams.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems, sales tools, and analytics platforms.
