Overview
Plans, oversees and coordinates architectural/engineering services required for all Centerra infrastructure projects. Plans, oversees, reports and coordinates maintenance work for buildings occupied by Centerra personnel. Develops scopes of work for infrastructure projects. Identifies operational requirements and detailed specifications for infrastructure project designs. Interfaces with the architectural/engineering subcontractors on design and engineering activities. Reviews and approves Centerra design packages. Reviews design documents. Interfaces with the Centerra Procurement Administrator during development of purchase orders for architectural and engineering services. Works with Centerra Finance when funds need to be transfered to SRNS for execution of company approved projects. Supports DOE-SR in project management activities during the project construction phase. Communicates with project engineers to resolve concerns. Determines, prioritizes and coordinates funding for Centerra infrastructure projects. Inspects projects under construction for compliance with design criteria and established codes. Recommends accepting or rejecting completed work. Plans, reports, tracks and coordinates maintenance requests for Centerra-SRS. Interfaces with SRNS regarding development of cost codes and funding for Centerra-SRS maintenance needs. Prioritizes maintenance requests and resolves contentious issues with senior management. Interfaces with the Centerra-SRS Procurement Administrator during development of purchase orders for maintenance work funded by Centerra-SRS. Initiates work instructions through the operating contractor for major maintenance work. Coordinates development of weekly Maintenance Report. Conducts technical reviews and provides analysis of documents, data collection items, research, program reports, cost reports, and various other requirements of these programs Assigns work of staff to ensure reports, records, and analyses are timely, accurate, and in compliance with business requirements. Sets work objectives and performance criteria; identifies performance deficiencies through performance feedback. Gives technical guidance to staff. Maintains project files. Establishes effective business relationships. Resolves conflicting demands of customer groups. Integrates section's activities with other operations. Gives presentations and briefings. Develops, reviews and revises company procedures related to architectural and engineering services and maintenance activities. Compiles quarterly infrastructure project report and other necessary correspondence. Must perform all responsibilities for environment, safety and health as defined in Procedure 1-3100 and adhere to the principles and functions of Integrated Safety Management. Ensures compliance with ISM and ISSM principles during all design and maintenance activities.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities & Other Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Three to five years of experience in construction management, engineering or architecture is required. Knowledge of government construction and contract practices. Working knowledge of standard design and engineering codes. Must be able to obtain/maintain a DOE "L" security clearance.
