Job Title: Registered Nurse - Clinic

Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred, preference to Urology experience
License: Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing
Certifications: BLS
Must-Have: Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing. Required skills include foley catheter insertion/removal/changing, suprapubic catheter insertion knowledge or willingness to learn, and straight cath urine collection.
Job Description:
- Work in an outpatient Urology clinic.
- Provide care for patients with diagnoses including bladder cancer, hematuria, flank pain, kidney stones, and more.
- Act as first assist to physicians during in-clinic procedures, including vasectomies and cystoscopies.
- Assist with medication injections, wound checks, voiding trials, and patient triage.
- Use EPIC charting system for documentation.
- Comfortable with (or willing to learn) supporting procedures such as prostate biopsies and stent removals.
- Collaborate with medical staff, including APPs who make hospital rounds.
- Participate in department-specific training and orientation.
- Work within department guidelines and maintain professional development.
- Wear navy blue scrubs as part of the standard uniform.
- No weekend rotation or on-call requirements.
- Work under the supervision of a charge nurse when necessary.
- Approved holiday and time-off requests are managed by the supervisor.
