POSITION LOCATION: SWWC Service Cooperative with preferred placement at our Alternative Learning Center (ALC) in Glencoe, MN. Alternatively, consideration would be made for placement at ALC Pipestone or ALC Windom.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Teaching and Learning Program Administrator assists the Senior Director of Teaching and Learning in the overall administration, supervision, fiscal management, service delivery, development and support of staff, implementation of programming, and oversight of regional educational programs within the Teaching and Learning Department. This position will include COMPASS Supervisor work and/or assigned Teaching and Learning duties within any programs including STARRS Online, Alternative Learning Center, teaching and learning grants, fee for service programming, etc. as determined by the Senior Director of Teaching and Learning.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Ensure alignment of COMPASS regional work to support school districts, charter schools, and tribal schools through the continuous improvement process.
  • Supervise the COMPASS Regional Team members, including the Literacy Lead, Math Lead, MnMTSS Lead, and School Improvement Team, and others as directed.
  • Ensure team members working within the same district are communicating to provide integrated and coordinated support to districts and schools.
  • Will be assigned to oversee the day-to-day operations or administer Teaching and Learning programs as assigned;
  • Provides leadership and assists in complying with District, State and Federal rules/regulations;
  • Provides good public relations and customer service with member districts, staff, students, families and the general public;
  • Participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings for STARRS Online;
  • Collaborates with educational partners both internal and external including but not limited to member districts, grant partners, other service cooperatives, and the Minnesota Department of Education;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in education, school psychology or related field; Minnesota Teaching license and Minnesota Administrative license required. Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a PreK-12 School System with at least two years in a school or district leadership position required. Valid driver's license required.

SALARY: This full-time (220-day) position begins on July 1, 2025, for the 2025-2026 school year with a salary range of $97,132 to $119,643. Salary depending on education, qualifications, abilities, and experience. The role includes excellent benefits, details of which can be found here.
