Air Operations and Exercise Planner
The Air Operations Exercise Planner shall serve as an Air Operations and Exercise Planner Subject Matter Expert responsible for co-leading the planning, development, coordination, and execution of multiple exercises each calendar year. Exercises focus on Close Air Support, Combat Search and Rescue, Landing Zone Operations, and robust Full-Mission Profiles encompassing a multitude of Fixed-Wing & Rotary-Wing assets. Events are challenging and task the total spectrum of Special Tactics SOF operations. Shall be able analyze operational requirements, request/coordinate all range/airspace needs and develop exercises that will challenge participants through full-spectrum evaluations. Shall coordinate with military Lift, Fighter and Attack units as well as contractor organizations to garner aircraft support for each exercise.
Shall attend periodic aircraft allocation conferences, lead site surveys/visits with participating squadrons and be prepared to attend the major exercises to support and direct daily aircraft operations.
