Hutchinson Public Schools is seeking a Long-term Special Education Substitute Teacher at the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) beginning at the start of the 2025-2026 school year for a 12-week period.
Candidates should hold appropriate licensure from the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) or contact the district for licensure options. The salary range for this position is $32.69 per hour - $60.88 per hour. Salary is dependent upon education and experience. Benefits include Sick Leave and Retirement Plan with employer contribution.
The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) is a Hutchinson Public Schools educational program for young adults with disabilities ranging in age from 18- 22 years. TAP is a community-based program emphasizing work experience and independent living skills. The TAP program assists in providing special education programming to increase a student's ability to live and work as independently as possible. Services are provided in the areas of Jobs and Job Training, Recreation and Leisure, Community Participation, Home Living, and Post-Secondary Options.
