Position Overview

As the Operating Room Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for the overall planning, organization, and implementation of surgical services. This pivotal leadership role involves fiscal management, quality and performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and personnel oversight to ensure seamless operations within the Operating Room.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Operating Room.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to maintain the highest level of patient safety and care quality.
  • Serve as a clinical resource to the surgical team, ensuring best practices in patient care.
  • Oversee performance improvement initiatives, including audits and participation in risk management processes.
  • Effectively manage the hiring, training, and evaluation of OR staff to build a skilled and engaged team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to optimize workflow and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage budgetary and fiscal responsibilities, ensuring resource optimization and cost-effectiveness.
  • Serve as a key liaison between surgical services and other hospital departments to ensure seamless coordination.

Qualifications

  • Three to Five years of Operating Room Nursing experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds, training and experience.
  • CNOR Certification preferred
  • Prior Leadership experience in acute care setting highly preferred.

Credentials

Essential:
* RN - Registered Nurse
* BLS - Basic Life Saving certification

Education

Essential:
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Magnet Recognition)
* Master's degree in Nursing preferred
