The MagLab is seeking a Director of the Magnet Enterprise reporting to the MagLab Director. This is a new role that is being created to further strategic planning in magnets and materials at the MagLab. The "enterprise" creates a combined coordinated effort across ASC and MST to strengthen the core activities in magnets and superconductors, facilitate strategic planning across the two divisions and integrate them with the strategic plans of FSU and the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, strengthen existing and build new commercial partnerships, and build budgetary resilience by growing the portfolio of grants and projects. The ASC and MST divisions were envisioned to be joined under an "enterprise lead" reporting to the MagLab Director in the organization chart, as discussed later.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate strategic planning within MagLab encompassing the vision and mission for the ASC and MST.
- Advance MagLab's projects and facilitate the needs of project managers across the matrix with the division lines.
- Forge partnerships with DOE labs and other stakeholders, possibly also at an agency level (e.g. DOE-NSF). Grow MagLab's stakeholder base via partnerships and collaborations.
- Connect MagLab's research, technology development, and system demonstration (RDD) activities in magnets and superconductors.
- Increase commercial partnerships and seek opportunities for deployment of MagLab IP.
- Build budgetary resilience; Grow the portfolio of grants and projects.
- Facilitate workforce development within MagLab, e.g. by implementing a technician development initiative with TCC, and for the broader community, e.g., by establishing the National High Magnetic Field School.
- Facilitate improved operations, improved safety and workplace climate by teaching and implementing best-of-breed ideas from other laboratories.
- Collaborate with COE ME and MS&E faculty to support this undergraduate program and the graduate student pipeline.
- Establish the National High Magnetic Field School. Activities may include educational activities that support the US Particle Accelerator School (see USPAS.fnal.gov )
- Develop proposals that support the COE, ASC, and NHMFL through extramural funding.
