Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty: IV Nursing

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day - 8x5 - 10 AM to 5 PM

Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU RN experience, some infusion experience preferred

License: Must have both RN licensures for Maryland and District of Columbia

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), EPIC

Must-Have: Mid-line and PICC placement experience, PICC Certification

Job Description:

- Assess the patient's need for placement of a vascular access device and determine the appropriate type of device, placement location, and ensure safety.
- Act as an expert in vascular access line placement, including peripheral lines, midline catheters, and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters in the clinic setting.
- Assist with troubleshooting vascular access issues under the direction of nursing leadership.
- Provide expert guidance to team members in managing vascular access devices.
- Initial work may commence with pending DC licensure.
