Technical Skills:
  • Database Expertise:
    • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for querying and manipulating data.
  • ETL Tools:
    • Hands-on experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools like Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Informatica, or Talend.
  • Legacy System Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with the architecture and data structures of the specific legacy systems being used (e.g., PeopleSoft, SAP, or custom-built systems).
  • Scripting Skills:
    • Ability to create scripts for data extraction and transformation in languages like Python, Shell scripting, or PowerShell (a plus).
  • Data Mapping and Transformation:
    • Strong knowledge of mapping legacy data to Oracle Cloud data structures.
    • Ability to identify gaps and transform data to fit Oracle Cloud requirements.

    • Functional Skills:
  • Oracle Cloud FSCM and HCM Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with the data models of Oracle Cloud modules (e.g., GL, AP, AR, Payroll, Core HR).
  • Business Process Understanding:
    • Awareness of business processes in finance (FSCM) and human resources (HCM) to validate and align data conversion.
  • Data Validation and Cleansing:
    • Skills to validate extracted data and perform data cleansing to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting:
    • Ability to identify and resolve issues during the data extraction and conversion process.
    • Soft Skills:
  • Attention to Detail:
    • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of extracted data.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Ability to collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, and other team members to understand requirements and address issues.
  • Documentation:
    • Documenting the extraction process, transformations applied, and challenges encountered for future reference.

    • Preferred Experience:
    • Prior involvement in Oracle Cloud implementation or migration projects.
    • Experience working with large datasets and optimizing extraction performance.
