Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technician
Job Specialty: Nuclear Imaging
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day - 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Accepts candidates with 1-year experience, preference for more
License: State license required
Certifications: BLS, NMTCB or ARRT (NM) required
Must-Have:
- Experience with DEXA scans, Cardiac scans, Stress Rest tests, HIDA scans, Renal scans, Bone scans, and PET CT
Job Description:
- Position involves working in a facility with 89 licensed beds and imaging rooms equipped with Gamma Camera, Stress Room, and PET CT.
- Patient demographics include ED, Outpatient, Inpatient with approximately 8-10 patients seen per day. When assigned to PET CT, can accommodate 5 patients per day.
- Support from Lead Tech and 2 techs per shift, with internal transport and a radiologist on site.
- Utilization of Cerner EMR, Enterprise Imaging AGFA PACS, Siemens dual head camera, and GE IQ PET CT.
- No weekends or call required; holiday expectations are none.
- Two weeks of orientation provided, dependent on skillset and comfort level.
- Schedules may rotate start times between 0530-0600 or 0700, with shifts ranging from 8-10 hours depending on the schedule for the day.
- Scrub color is any solid color as long as it appears professional, with scrubs provided by the facility if needed.
