Pay Range: $100,000-$130,000 / year with bonus opportunities.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our team and support our growth. This person will play a key role in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and innovation of our products, as well as assisting in the professional growth and development of our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in photochemical etching processes, exposure equipment, and methods, as well as experience in working directly with customers to define technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned:
  • Process Development: Develop, optimize, and implement new processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of photochemical etched products and metalized ceramics.
  • Yield Improvement: Drive yield improvements in assigned areas by identifying and addressing process inefficiencies and implementing best practices.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize chemistry knowledge to etch various substrates effectively, ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Hardware Modifications: Recommend and implement hardware modifications to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency of manufacturing processes.
  • Environmental Regulations: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations associated with the photochemical etching industry, maintaining a focus on sustainability and safety.
  • Safety Consciousness: Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular safety assessments.
  • Customer Interaction: Collaborate directly with customers to define technical requirements, provide technical support and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Team Development: Mentor and support the professional growth and development of less experienced engineering team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.


  • Qualifications:
    • Must have a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering). Masters preferred.
    • Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in process engineering, with a focus on photochemical etching and metalized ceramics.
    • Strong understanding of chemistry used in etching various substrates and knowledge of exposure technology.
    • Experience with hardware modifications to improve performance and efficiency.
    • Familiarity with environmental regulations related to the photochemical etching industry.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive yield improvements and optimize manufacturing processes.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
    • Commitment to safety and sustainability in the workplace.
    • Leadership abilities, with experience mentoring and developing engineering team members.

    Physical Requirements:
    • Work will be performed primarily in a manufacturing environment.
    • Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes.
    • May require extended periods of standing or sitting.
    • Ability to lift (up to) 50 pounds.
    • Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting may be required.
