Our mission is to optimize Apple production test lines in terms of productivity, automation, performance, and overall cost-effectiveness, by introducing new concepts for inspection and test equipment and methods, production test line architecture, etc.
We are seeking a Manager and Test Engineer to join the us, manage a team developing, driving development, and owningtools to test and calibrate components for all apple products. The successful candidate should have experience with test equipment development, and be self-motivated, and able todrive cross-org communication and collaboration.
Description
In this highly impactful role, you will use your technical knowledge and managerial experience to a team of experienced engineers of multi-disciplines to develop and productize test equipment for Apple products' sub-assemblies. This looks like:
Developing and delivering test system solutions which meet business objectives for performance, cost,
quality, reliability and schedule
Leading a team of engineers (SW, EE, ME, TE) to define, develop and deliver test equipment
Driving the team into defining product specification (PRD) and the right system architecture
Optimizing test and calibration for replacement sub-systems, focusing on most critical ones
Working collaboratively with Apple Care and other Apple teams to drive development and assimilation of new
test fixtures in production factories
Partnering with external vendors and manage them to complete manufacture the tools, and bring them into
production lines.
Presenting weekly program status updates to internal teams and executives, as required
Supervising and / or designing electronic circuits (PCBA and Flex Circuits) for test equipment
Traveling ~15% of the year to Asia to support equipment validation in engineering builds
