Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Specialty: Endoscopy
Job Duration: 14 weeks
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Experience: 2 years required, no first-time travelers
License: Compact or Kentucky State License required at submission
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
Must-Have:
- Experience with bronchoscopy and ERCP procedures
- Ability to assist endoscopy technicians is strongly preferred
- Conscious Sedation experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- EPIC experience preferred
Job Description:
- Procedural Registered Nurse needed for endoscopy specialty with the ability to respond to call within 1 hour
- Nurses will float between designated facilities on occasion
- Call burden is shared equally; includes after hours, weekends, and holidays
- Nurses will take both weekend and weekday calls
- Response time for calls is 1 hour, meaning arrival bedside and ready to perform the procedure within that time frame
- Call hours are from 8PM-6AM on weekdays; weekends are divided into two shifts, 6AM-6PM and 6PM-6AM
- Weekend call schedule runs from Saturday 6AM to Monday 6AM
- Expected 2-3 on-call shifts every 6-week schedule period
- Participation in orientation and annual training modules required, averaging 6.5 hours per module, completed during orientation
- Ensure no licensure issues, as submissions with hits will be rejected
- Return policy requires staff to be gone at least 90 days to return as a traveler
- Experience in level 1 trauma center is required for most units
This role requires a strong background in endoscopy procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a dynamic environment.
