Physician Assistant/Specialist NTT
The Department of Otolaryngology-HNS, Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking an Academic Comprehensive Otolaryngology-HNS faculty position to join a growing and dynamic program. This position will allow for the supervised practice of otolaryngology and the option to utilize subspecialty experience in Laryngology and Head-Neck Oncology Surgery/Reconstructive Surgery. The faculty member would function as part of a comprehensive academic Otolaryngology-HNS department with opportunities to impact resident and medical student education. The residency program is fully accredited for 10 residents. The practice is part of the UT Health Physicians Faculty Practice Plan.

Physician Assistant/Specialist NTT

Responsibilities:
- Provide Service to Otolaryngology patients at our clinic and hospital locations.
- Obtain patient history and perform assessments.
- Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
- Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.
- Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventive health, treatment options.
- Work collaboratively with Otolaryngologist in the care and management of their patients.
- Executes diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as physicians may assign.
- Complete timely documentation of patient encounters and billing paperwork.
- Participate in the development and growth of the practice.
Qualifications:
- Must have successfully completed an approved Physician Assistant Program/Nurse Practitioner Program and be in possession of a current certificate of accreditation required by date of hire.
- Must hold license as a Physician assistant/Nurse Practitioner in the state of Texas. BLS Providers credentialed for the American Heart Association.
