Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Engineer to oversee the Maintenance Department. Facilities Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and improvement of our facility infrastructure, including machinery and equipment used in the production and repair of semi-trailers. This role requires a blend of engineering expertise, leadership, and a proactive approach to facility management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
WORKING CONDITIONS
Extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors up to and beyond 9 hours a day.
Flexible hours.
Extended exposure to noise/heat for up to and beyond 10 hours a day.
Must dress according to the company policy and will be required to wear eye, head, hearing, hand and foot protection.
Able to do heavy lift of plus 50 lbs if needed.
Ability to maneuver large parts and assemblies by pushing, pulling and flipping them into place.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or maintenance engineering, preferably within the manufacturing or semi-trailer industry.
Proven experience in managing maintenance teams and overseeing facility operations.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and general facility infrastructure.

Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of facility infrastructure.
- Coordinate and manage facility improvement projects, including upgrades, renovations, and expansions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, including technicians and maintenance staff, ensuring high standards of performance and adherence to company policies.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting and cost control.
- Implement and manage a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track and report on maintenance activities, asset performance, and resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to machinery and equipment.
- Identify and recommend improvements to maintenance processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Analyze data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and support production goals.
- Manage relationships with external contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure quality work and cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee contract negotiations and ensure compliance with service agreements.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team and across the facility.
