Description

Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center's Conditional Release Program (CONREP) is seeking a Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to fulfill the role of Forensic Clinical Coordinator in its Forensic Community Treatment Program (FCTP). This forensic outpatient program provides court and parole-mandated treatment and supervision to individuals committed as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity, Offender with a Mental Health Disorder, or Incompetent to Stand Trial.

The FCTP clinical team is a leader in providing compassionate and effective mental health treatment, evaluations, and risk management to under-served and over-represented populations in forensic settings. The leadership team is comprised of seasoned experts who are invested in each team member's professional growth and have developed a robust didactic training program for all clinical staff that has been expanded to other CONREP programs throughout California.

As part of the leadership of this interdisciplinary treatment team, the Forensic Clinical Coordinator provides clinical supervision to pre- and post-licensure clinicians, interns, and practicum students; oversees case managers and home visit counselors; supports the Program Director in overseeing daily program operations; interfaces with community-based stakeholders; and provides direct clinical care and crisis intervention as needed. This is a full-time, salaried position, with intermittent on-call responsibilities. The role of Forensic Clinical Coordinator is an excellent opportunity for an early-career Psychologist or LCSW seeking to expand his/her skills in:

  • Violence risk assessment
  • Court report writing
  • Expert witness testimony
  • Clinical supervision
