This position will be responsible for leading the planning, design, and construction phases of the terminal development project, ensuring that all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The successful candidate will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including contractors, architects, engineers, and local authorities, to manage the project from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination:
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for the terminal construction project.
- Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timelines.
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for construction.
- Construction Management:
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring that work is completed according to the project plan, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Ensure that the construction process complies with all applicable codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
- Manage site logistics, including the coordination of traffic flow, equipment, and temporary facilities.
- Budget & Schedule Control:
- Monitor project costs and work with the project team to mitigate any potential overruns.
- Track and manage project timelines, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Identify risks and issues early on and implement solutions to avoid delays or cost escalations.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the project team, ensuring clear communication and a collaborative working environment.
- Hold regular meetings with project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams, to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
- Quality Assurance & Safety:
- Implement quality control programs and conduct regular inspections to ensure that work meets the required standards and specifications.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and work closely with safety officers to minimize workplace accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and the community.
- Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and forecasts to senior management and clients.
- Contract Management:
- Negotiate and manage contracts with contractors and subcontractors, ensuring that terms are met and work is completed as specified.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and payment requests, ensuring they align with the project budget.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience:
- At least 5-7 years of experience in construction project management, with a strong focus on large-scale terminal, airport, or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing teams and complex projects from design through to completion.
- Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- LEED or other sustainability certifications a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to work across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Expertise in project scheduling and budget management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera).
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, contract law, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to spend extended periods on-site and work in a construction environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in managing marine terminal, airport, seaport, or transportation infrastructure projects.
- Experience in managing projects that include electrification of infrastructure to support charging of electric vehicles and other electric industrial cargo handling equipment.
- Familiarity with terminal-specific systems such as marine container terminal handling equipment and systems. Terminal operating system, Optical Character Recognition, WIFI, DGPS and RFID Systems
- Strong understanding of environmental sustainability practices and compliance in construction projects.
