The Opportunity
The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety at Kilburn Hall Youth Centre, requires a highly motivated and energetic person to assume a management role; providing leadership and direction in the delivery of facility programs. Reporting to the Director of Operations and working in collaboration with others, you will be a key member of the facility management team, contributing to the effective operation of the centre by overseeing daily operations and providing expertise to the integrated case management process. You will play a key role in assisting the ministry in achieving its goal of promoting safe communities by providing a range of controls and reintegration opportunities for offenders.
Responsibilities Include:
The knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position would typically be acquired through completion of a degree in Social Work, Human Justice, Criminology or a related discipline, supplemented by demonstrated management ability, preferably in a corrections institutional environment.

- Ensuring delivery and evaluation of correctional programs in a multi-level correctional facility;
- Providing leadership and direct supervision to supervisors, youth workers and program specialists in achieving organizational goals;
- Liaising with other ministries, civic and federal agencies and community groups to establish coordination of program delivery and application of justice activities; and
- Providing support to the Director of Operations in the daily management of the centre.
