Novarc Technologies is looking for a Product Manager - NovAI to join our growing team and support the production of our new AI welding solutions. NovAI is a World's first AI-powered welding vision system and image processing system that integrates state-of-the-art AI algorithms with advanced robotic controls to fully automate the pipe welding process while increasing productivity and delivering X-ray quality welds.

Schedule: This is a permanent full time position at one of our offices in North Vancouver. We offer a hybrid work environment for most roles; however candidates must be willing and able to commute to the office at least 4 times a week.

Novarc Technologies is looking for a Product Manager - NovAI to join our growing team and support the production of our new AI welding solutions. NovAI is a World's first AI-powered welding vision system and image processing system that integrates state-of-the-art AI algorithms with advanced robotic controls to fully automate the pipe welding process while increasing productivity and delivering X-ray quality welds.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the roadmap with resource allocation estimates for the NovAI product line.
- Collaborate With the CEO, VP Business Development and head of product, to relay the product vision and define what success looks like.
- Collaborate with the Technical Product Owners to develop:
- Product Charters
- Product Requirements
- Product MVPs
- Gather customer requirements and develop market segments through in person meetings, site visits, surveys and secondary market research.
- Focus on developing a link between concept validation and product build stages to ensure what is being developed meets the requirements and expectations of the market.
- Communicate within the Product team on all projects to ensure company priorities are being maintained.
- Collaborate with Head of Product, VP Business Development, CRO in conducting pricing studies and develop the pricing strategy.
- Plan and coordinate Beta site testing.
- Align internal roadmap with strategic partners and customers expectations.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Collaborate with revenue ops and marketing to ensure Customer Support, Sales, and Marketing has all the necessary training, sales toolbox and documentation to be successful.
- Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they're met.
- Develop custom project or grant proposals as required.
- Collaborate with technical delivery teams to ensure backlog is well defined, prioritized, and delivered according to the roadmap.
- Develop weekly progress reporting for management.
- Assist TPMs with defining timelines and the scope of projects.
- Resolve roadblocks for technical teams.
- Supports R&D team, tightens product development feedback loops, systematizes product launches.
- Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments.
- Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate go-to-market plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Min. 7 years of experience managing multiple products, developing roadmaps, and implementing product development processes.
- Extensive experience in product development lifecycle for both software and hardware.
- Bachelor degree in a technical field related to robotics, engineering, or computer science is a must.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Wrike and product management platforms such as Aha.
- Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- MBA would be an asset
- Experience in Automation solutions would be an asset
- Superior hands-on experience with data analytic tools such as Power BI would be an asset.
