Position Description
The overall duties of a Senior Financial and Data Analyst Include:
  • Performs advanced financial research, analysis, and forecasting to evaluate business performance and support strategic decision-making within the construction and manufacturing industry.
  • Involved in the monthly ASC606 Revenue recognition process and other contract management.
  • Provides actionable insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency through the development of Power BI reporting.
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to evaluate and forecast business performance, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
  • Plan and recommend financial policies to optimize manufacturing efficiency and project outcomes
  • Develop detailed data models and reporting in Power BI to measure and forecast the impact of various business decisions, economic scenarios, or capital investments
  • Research job cost and revenue issues involved in month end close
  • Manage/oversee contract closing process and related activities
  • Prepare Job Cost Projections in coordination with the Director and Controller
  • Calculate and interpret financial metrics to track and evaluate the organization's financial health and translate into key reporting primarily using Power BI.
  • Prepare timely financial reports and presentations tailored to the needs of stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with software development and IT to develop data models and related security for Power BI Dashboards, reports, and models to assist in manufacturing planning, create accurate financial projections, and support cost management decisions.

Education and Technology:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or equivalent work experience; advanced certifications such as MBA, CPA, or CFA are a plus.
  • 4-7 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably with a focus on construction
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills, basic SQL skills, and extensive experience with ERP systems and construction software (e.g., Procore, Sage, or Viewpoint).
