Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Create, Manage and Implement Broadcast Engineering Projects for the Florida Facility. May be called
on to provide similar support for Engineering Projects in both the NY and DC facilities.
Coordinate and Plan the execution of software updates on equipment.
Coordinate and Plan the execution of regular Maintenance on equipment.
Serve as liaison between FL facility and VP Broadcast Engineering serving as a proxy.
Propose, plan and execute the design, test, and integration of new equipment.
Establish policies and Maintain documentation.
Lead in assessing improvements and creating projects through coordination with Operations and
Production.
Make recommendations to senior management on new policies and procedures related to broadcast
engineering.
Implement and enforce standard operating procedures for technical staff.
Optimize resource allocation to achieve cost-effective solutions.
Coordinate with Networking and IT on service requests as requested.
Monitor HVAC, Power and overall facility health, alert vendors of critical issues, coordinate corrective
activities.
Coordinate Engineering scheduling with Operation Manager to ensure coverage.
Create and maintain trouble reporting and documenting policies and procedures.
Maintain facility compliance with standard Broadcasting Practices and standards.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Eight (8) or more years of Broadcasting experience in a Live news operation or equivalent "event" driven
environment.
Strong Leadership Qualities required.
Must be Organized and detail orientated.
Must be self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision.
Proven knowledge of Broadcasting Audio and Video standards.
Proven knowledge of A/V and networking signal flow
Proven knowledge in Networking and IT skills as it pertains to Broadcasting.
Proven knowledge in streaming content and related protocols and formats, such as: TCP, UDP, MPEG-
TS, SRT, Zixi, IGMP/PIM, Layer 2/3, Subnetting, VLANs, OTT, cloud-based Master Control.
Experience with Dante, SDI, NDI, Networking, ENPS and OnCue Prompters.
Familiarity in NAS/SAN architecture plus.
Familiarity with Digital Intercom systems from RTS/Clearcom a plus.
Familiarity with Multimedia file formats and CODEC's.
