THE POSITION

We are in search of a Judicial and Information Services Section Manager to oversee operations and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and compliance. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will oversee the planning, direction, control, and administration of all activities within the Judicial and Information Services Section of the License Control Division at the Bureau of Driver Licensing. Your primary focus will be on overseeing processes related to convictions, restorations and sanctioning of driver licenses, as well as the ignition interlock program. This involves identifying the reasons for these rejections and implementing solutions to ensure accurate recording and timely sharing of convictions with other states in compliance with state and federal requirements. Furthermore, you will oversee the information services program which handles the processing of driver and vehicle record requests as well operations related to the correspondence unit within the Bureau of Driver Licensing. As the subject matter expert, you will represent PennDOT at seminars and meetings, facilitating outreach with various judicial and law enforcement agencies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS).
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied line management or administrative staff work in a public or private organization, including two years with a state motor vehicles program, an automobile service organization, motor vehicle manufacturer, or other comparable organization associated with the automobile industry which provided experience in the application and interpretation of state motor vehicle laws; and such training as may have been gained from graduation from a four-year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
