The Role:
As a Software Development Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of complex software projects. You'll mentor and lead a talented team of developers, ensure high-quality standards, and drive innovation in our software development processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Guide the design and development of software solutions, ensuring technical excellence, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define software requirements and priorities.
- Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and documentation are followed across the development lifecycle.
- Review and contribute to code, ensuring high-quality standards and continuous improvement.
- Drive continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes and practices to streamline development and deployment.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges and provide guidance to the team on how to overcome obstacles.
- Ensure timely and successful delivery of software products, meeting business objectives and quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior development role.
- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architectures.
- Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring development teams to success.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to balance technical leadership with hands-on coding and development tasks.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience with API design and integration.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven success working remotely and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
