Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Embedded Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our embedded systems. You will work closely with development teams to design, execute, and automate test cases, ensuring our products meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for embedded systems and firmware.
  • Collaborate with firmware and hardware development teams to identify and resolve issues during the product development lifecycle.
  • Automate testing processes using appropriate frameworks and tools, including unit, integration, system, and regression testing.
  • Perform debugging, failure analysis, and root cause identification to enhance product quality.
  • Validate and verify compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and product specifications.
  • Maintain test environments, including hardware, software, and simulation tools.
  • Document test results and provide clear and actionable feedback to the development team.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability and quality are built into the product design.
  • Stay up to date with emerging testing tools, technologies, and best practices to improve test efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in testing embedded systems or firmware.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
  • Experience with embedded system debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, BLE, or NFC.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Unity Test, Google Test, Robot Framework).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with safety-critical systems and compliance with standards like ISO 26262, IEC 62304, or ISO 13485.
  • Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and their testing.
  • Experience in risk assessment and reliability testing.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations for medical devices.
