Department Overview

The Aviation Services department resides within the Enterprise Service Delivery organization. Aviation Services provides a full range of services; fixed wing, helicopter and UAS (drone), needed for PG&E organizations to meet Company objectives safely and efficiently.

Position Summary

Manages airplane, helicopter and UAV flight schedule for all PG&E aviation operations, including scheduling flights using an electronic platform; revising and canceling flights; working with external vendors according to weather, customer, coworker requests, government regulations. Advises appropriate personnel of potential delays or cancellations. Verifies work completed, and manages contract invoices and accounting. Participates in department safety management and emergency response. Provides clerical and administrative support to department leader, including data management and reporting.

This position is onsite 80-100% of the time working from the Vacaville Nut Tree Airport Admin Building

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $46.50 to $69.50

Job Responsibilities

  • May provide administrative support to aviation services management.
  • Provides training, guidance, and instruction of lower job level Aircraft Schedulers.
  • Coordinates necessary resources in emergency situations.
  • Assesses vendors based upon specific criteria, such as type of airplane/helicopter/UAV, pilot, task liability, etc.
  • Schedules flights for (1) senior PG&E corporate level, (2) potential immediate/unplanned, and/or (3) emergency airplane, helicopter, or UAV.
  • Tracks flights and collaborates with vendors to ensure adequate resources are available and escalated issues are resolved.


Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
  • Job-related experience, 5 years


Desired:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 6 years
  • Experience in aviation safety management
  • FAA-Federal Aviation Administration Dispatcher certification
